K-pop rookie group CORTIS is aiming for “Double Million Seller” status with their debut album!
According to the latest weekly album chart released by Circle Chart on February 19th (data from February 8th to 14th), CORTIS (Martin, James, Juhoon, Sunghyun, Gunho)’s debut album, ‘COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES,’ has surpassed 1.92 million cumulative sales. If they reach over 2 million sales, they will become only the second group in K-pop history to achieve “Double Million Seller” status with their debut album. This makes them a top contender in the K-pop scene.
CORTIS’s continued popularity stems from the strength of their music and stage performances. ‘COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES’ initial sales (first week sales after release, based on Circle Chart) reached 420,000 copies, and with the support of music show appearances, sales exceeded 500,000 copies in September of last year. Furthermore, as their songs and performances gained word-of-mouth traction, over 1.4 million copies were sold during their non-promotional period (October 2025 – February 2026).
Looking at the trend since October of last year, sales noticeably increased during activities such as ‘iHeartRadio LIVE with CORTIS,’ ‘The Zane Lowe Show,’ the halftime show at the South Korea vs. Ghana A-match, year-end special broadcasts, and award ceremonies. As a result, they even reclaimed the top spot on the Circle Chart monthly album chart (December 2025) in their fourth month of release. Their performance on these platforms solidify CORTIS as a force to be reckoned with in the industry.
Especially noteworthy is their exceptional popularity in North America, which is unusual for rookies. The long-term success on the Billboard charts proves this. CORTIS’s debut album remained in the top ranks for three months after its release on the ‘Top Album Sales’ and ‘Top Current Album Sales’ charts, which track physical album sales in the United States. It’s also impressive that their ranking jumped by more than 10 spots whenever new team news was announced or a performance was released. This demonstrates their loyal fan base.
Meanwhile, CORTIS is accelerating preparations for their new album, aiming for a comeback in April. With their debut album, ‘COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES,’ sweeping K-pop’s first, fastest, and highest records last year, there is much anticipation for their next project. Stay tuned for more updates on CORTIS and their upcoming releases!
