K-pop sensation Hearts2Hearts made their highly anticipated comeback on Monday with the release of their second EP, “Lemon Tang.” This vibrant new album marks the rookie girl group’s first musical offering in eight months and their much-awaited debut into the competitive K-pop summer scene.

The captivating six-track “Lemon Tang” EP features the highly anticipated title track “Lemon Tang” and previously released fan-favorite, “Rude!”, which dropped in February.

According to Hearts2Hearts member Jiwoo, the meaningful lyrics of “Lemon Tang” cleverly draw upon a significant and recurring theme deeply embedded within Hearts2Hearts’ distinctive musical identity.

During the highly anticipated showcase held in Seoul on Monday, Jiwoo highlighted the group’s ongoing collaboration with a legendary producer: “This marks the fourth instance where the esteemed Kenzie has lent her genius to one of our title tracks.”

Jiwoo elaborated on the profound connection: “I particularly admire Kenzie’s lyrical prowess because her words consistently capture the core message of ‘us’ that Hearts2Hearts strives to convey through our music. Individually, a lemon might taste sour, but its versatility allows it to perfectly complement a myriad of diverse dishes. Kenzie brilliantly employed the lemon as a powerful metaphor to illustrate how we, as a group, achieve a greater, more radiant shine when we stand together than when we are alone.”

Kenzie, revered as a legendary K-pop producer at the powerhouse SM Entertainment, boasts an impressive history of collaboration with Hearts2Hearts, having previously contributed her Midas touch to the group’s hit main tracks: “The Chase,” “Style,” and “Focus.”

Hearts2Hearts member Yuha revealed that the group instantly formed a profound connection with “Lemon Tang” the moment they first heard its captivating demo version.

Hearts2Hearts’ Jiwoo fondly recounted discussing this fascinating coincidence with fellow SM artist, Aespa member Karina, during a recent, viral dance challenge video they enthusiastically filmed together.

Jiwoo shared insights from their interaction: “When I had the pleasure of meeting Karina recently for a challenge, we discussed how incredibly interesting it was that both our groups were making comebacks centered around such a similar vibrant theme. She was incredibly supportive and also expressed her genuine hope that our ‘Lemon Tang’ comeback would achieve great success.”
