K-POP group ZEROBASEONE (composed of Sung Han-bin, Kim Ji-woong, Seok Matthew, Kim Tae-rae, and Park Gun-wook) has officially surpassed 10 million cumulative album sales according to the Hanteo Chart. This remarkable achievement marks a historic first for a 5th generation K-POP group.
ZEROBASEONE made history with their debut album, ‘YOUTH IN THE SHADE,’ by becoming the first K-POP group ever to achieve double million-seller status with a debut release. They continued their monumental success with their 2nd mini-album, ‘MELTING POINT,’ securing consecutive double million-seller status across two albums. This impressive streak further extended with their 3rd mini-album ‘You had me at HELLO,’ 4th mini-album ‘CINEMA PARADISE,’ 5th mini-album ‘BLUE PARADISE,’ and their 1st full-length album ‘NEVER SAY NEVER,’ all achieving million-seller status. This cumulative success of six consecutive million-selling albums since their debut, with their latest 6th mini-album ‘Ascend-,’ pushed their total album sales beyond the 10 million mark.

The 6th mini-album ‘Ascend-,’ released on May 18th, quickly topped the Hanteo Chart Daily Physical Album Chart on its debut day. It also secured the #1 position on the Chinese QQ Music Digital Album Mini-album Chart. The album’s title track, ‘TOP 5,’ soared to the #1 spot on Japan’s Spotify Viral Chart. Furthermore, its music video achieved a new personal record, surpassing 40 million views in the shortest time since its release, and ranked #2 globally for music video views within 24 hours.
The 6th mini-album ‘Ascend-‘ embodies the group’s musical essence and forward direction as they embark on a new chapter. The title track ‘TOP 5’ offers a modern reinterpretation of 2000s dance-pop, skillfully blending a contemporary R&B mood with dynamic hip-hop rhythms.
