Idol Group Brand Reputation Rankings: July 2026
K-pop sensation BTS has claimed the top spot in the July Idol Group Brand Reputation rankings, showcasing their unparalleled influence.
The Korean Business Research Institute announced that BTS ranked first in their comprehensive analysis of idol group brand reputation for July 2026. Kortis secured second place, followed by IOI in third. The total big data analyzed for idol group brands amounted to 90,733,805 entries, representing a 1.04% increase from 89,802,684 entries in June.
This in-depth analysis was conducted using big data pertaining to idol groups, collected from June 15 to July 15, 2026. The Idol Group Brand Reputation Index is a unified brand category analysis that encompasses both boy and girl groups. It meticulously measures various factors including participation index, media index, communication index, and community index to compute the overall brand reputation score.



The top 30 idol groups in the July Brand Reputation rankings are as follows: BTS, Kortis, IOI, Rescene, TWICE, SEVENTEEN, BLACKPINK, ILLIT, IVE, aespa, NCT, BIGBANG, ATEEZ, Red Velvet, Oh My Girl, MONSTA X, EXO, Wanna One, (G)I-DLE, TWS, Kiki, HIGHLIGHT, BTOB, Stray Kids, LE SSERAFIM, NMIXX, SHINee, Super Junior, fromis_9, and Apink.
BTS, securing the first position, recorded a brand reputation index of 6,518,675. This was calculated by combining a participation index of 173,852, a media index of 691,920, a communication index of 2,201,277, and a community index of 3,451,626. This marks a 17.83% decrease compared to their June brand reputation index of 7,933,559.


Kortis, in second place, recorded a brand reputation index of 5,409,892, a 4.03% decrease from 5,636,932 in June. IOI secured third place with 5,214,323. Rescene ranked fourth with 5,014,734, showing an impressive 18.40% increase from their June score of 4,235,383. TWICE came in fifth with 3,866,983, a significant 36.38% rise from 2,835,352 in June.
Goo Chang-hwan, director of the Korean Business Research Institute, commented, “For BTS, which achieved the number one position in the July 2026 Idol Group Brand Reputation analysis, link analysis showed high scores for keywords such as ‘collaborate,’ ‘record,’ and ‘create.’ Keyword analysis also revealed ‘ARMY,’ ‘London concert,’ and ‘world tour’ as prominent terms. The positive-negative ratio analysis further indicated a strong positive sentiment, recording a 92.57% positive ratio.”
The Brand Reputation Index is a critical metric derived from extensive brand big data analysis, designed to measure positive and negative public perception, media interest, and the volume of consumer interest and communication for various idol group brands.
