Park Bom, formerly of the K-pop group 2NE1, is raising eyebrows after posting a selfie on social media, following a series of since-deleted posts targeting fellow member Sandara Park. The lack of a direct apology has drawn attention.
On May 5th, Park Bom shared a photo on her Instagram with the caption “Park Bom♥ #ParkBom #bompark #parkbom.”
In the image, Park Bom is seen in a casual outfit, sporting full makeup, and taking a selfie with a neutral expression.
This action follows Park Bom’s recent online activity where she appeared to target Sandara Park. The singer’s decision to post a selfie without addressing the previous controversy or offering an apology has been interpreted by some as a display of independence or disregard for the situation.
On May 3rd, Park Bom shared a lengthy handwritten letter on her social media, stating, “I want to tell a careful and scary story.” In the letter, she discussed being prescribed medication for Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), a form of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and the controversy she faced regarding allegations of drug use.

She referenced an incident from 2010, when she imported Adderall, a psychotropic medication containing amphetamine, without proper customs declaration. This led to an investigation in 2014, and she received a stay of prosecution. She stated, “I don’t want to talk about it again. Because it could be a path to ruin. I died then. But I’m speaking up with courage. That’s not drugs. I’m an ADD patient,” she reiterated.
Park Bom also mentioned Sandara Park, claiming, “Park Sandara was caught using drugs, and they made me a drug addict to cover it up. At the time, there was no law regarding Adderall in the country, and there was no law itself. Strangely, the law was created after Park Bom.”
Furthermore, Park Bom targeted YG Entertainment’s CEO Yang Hyun Suk, producer Teddy, and fellow 2NE1 member CL. She stated, “YG Entertainment, Yang Hyun Suk, Teddy Park (Teddy), and Lee Chae-rin (CL), don’t report to the country that Park Bom used more drugs than the prescribed amount, even though you haven’t used any drugs for almost 30 years. I’m writing this because my soul feels like it’s crying.”

In response, Sandara Park posted on her Instagram on May 4th, stating, “I have never used drugs. I hope she is healthy,” officially addressing the situation. Following this incident, Park Bom disappeared from Sandara Park’s Instagram following list, leaving only CL and Gong Minzy.
After Park Bom was criticized and deleted the posts, and Sandara Park issued an official statement, it seemed the situation was coming to an end. However, Park Bom posted the same handwritten letter on her social media again on May 5th, raising concerns about her condition.
Fans commented, “Unnie, shouldn’t you be hospitalized? I’m so worried,” and “Someone please take care of Bom unnie.” Park Bom’s post targeting Sandara Park was deleted again. However, a few hours later, Park Bom posted a selfie, continuing her own path.
Park Bom has previously raised suspicions of mental instability by posting numerous unsubstantiated claims on social media. She consistently mentioned actor Lee Min-ho, creating self-proclaimed dating rumors, and even released a complaint against Yang Hyun Suk, causing a stir. At the time, her agency, D-NATION Entertainment, stated, “No complaint has been filed. Park Bom is focusing on treatment and recovery.”
Park Bom temporarily suspended her activities in August of last year due to health reasons, after touring since the 2024 2NE1 reunion.
