Blackswan’s Gabi, a member of the K-pop girl group, attended the state banquet at the Blue House.
According to her agency, DR Music, on February 26th, Gabi (24) attended the state banquet hosted by President Lee Jae-myung at the Yeongbingwan, the state guest house in the Blue House, on February 23rd to welcome the President of Brazil.
Gabi shared the occasion with government officials and business leaders from both countries. Notably, Brazilian President Lula da Silva showed a special affection by kissing the back of Gabi’s hand while greeting the attendees.
President Lula later shared a video of himself greeting Gabi on his Instagram account. This post has garnered enthusiastic responses from netizens. DR Music stated, “We were both surprised by the sudden invitation, but it would be a great honor to contribute to cultural exchanges between Korea and Brazil in the future. We are ready to attend any event we are invited to.”

It is known that President Lula’s wife, Rosângela da Silva, is a passionate fan of K-pop. Even before her visit to Korea, she showed great interest in K-pop artists and expressed her delight that Gabi is from Brazil.
Prior to President Lula’s official visit schedule, she had dinner with Gabi in Gangnam, Seoul, on February 22nd to build a friendship. She also posted a photo of herself and Gabi sharing ‘Ddu-jjoon-kku’ on her Instagram account.

Meanwhile, Blackswan is a global 4-member K-pop girl group composed entirely of foreign members. Gabi was selected in DR Music’s global audition in 2022, beating out 4000 competitors. Born in Santa Catarina, Brazil, in 2002, she is currently the only Brazilian member of a K-pop girl group.
