Jungkook's 'Seven' Achieves New Spotify History with 155-Week Chart Streak

BTS’s Jungkook has achieved an extraordinary milestone, charting on Spotify’s ‘Weekly Top Song Global’ for an astonishing 155 consecutive weeks with his debut solo single, ‘Seven’.

‘Seven’ secured the 160th spot on the chart for the period spanning June 20 to July 2, amassing approximately 9 million streams in just one week. Released in 2023, this global hit continues its unprecedented run as the first and longest-charting song by an Asian solo artist, now in its 155th week. Furthermore, ‘Seven’ has surpassed 3.01 billion streams on Spotify, making it the first track by any Asian group or solo artist to reach this monumental streaming benchmark.

Jungkook’s debut solo album, ‘GOLDEN’, also launched in 2023, claimed the 126th spot on Spotify’s ‘Weekly Top Album Global’ chart during the same period. This critically acclaimed album has impressively remained on the charts for 139 weeks, solidifying its place as the first and longest-charting album by an Asian solo artist.

Last month, Jungkook was recognized as the most-streamed K-pop male solo artist on Spotify, recording approximately 173 million streams. His individual Spotify account has amassed an astounding 11.18 billion streams across all credited tracks, achieving this feat faster than any other Asian artist and making him the first K-pop solo artist to reach such a colossal streaming total.

Beyond Spotify, ‘Seven’ continues its global impact on Billboard, holding a position on the prominent ‘Global (Excl. U.S.)’ chart for an impressive 155 weeks. This further establishes an unprecedented record as the first and longest run for an Asian solo artist’s song on this esteemed chart. Additionally, the official music video for ‘Seven’, available on HYBE LABELS’ YouTube channel, has soared past 623 million views, underscoring its immense popularity worldwide.
