BTS member Jungkook personally revealed to fans that he sustained a back injury during a performance in London, UK, on July 7th (local time).
BTS held their highly anticipated ‘BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ in LONDON’ at the iconic Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, UK, on July 6th and 7th. Videos captured by dedicated fans attending the July 7th concert showed Jungkook experiencing noticeable discomfort during his energetic performance. He appeared unable to stand properly at times and moved with visible difficulty, suggesting he was in pain from a back injury.
During the emotional ending remarks (ending ment) in the latter half of the July 7th concert, Jungkook explained to the audience, “I unfortunately injured my back while performing on stage, which made it difficult for me to focus from the FYA part, and for that, I sincerely apologize.” He continued, “Honestly, it’s no exaggeration, the concert was so incredibly fun that I thought, ‘Let’s absolutely smash it today,’ and then suddenly, ‘Thud,’ oh? I felt something was wrong.” To prevent the atmosphere from becoming too heavy or somber, he lightened the mood with a characteristic joke, adding, “It’s partly your (ARMY’s) fault too, because you all had so much fun that I got overly excited and hurt myself!” He then reassured his devoted fanbase, “I will manage this as best as I can and promise to return in a healthy state as soon as possible.”
Immediately following the concert, an outpouring of support swept across major social media platforms, including ‘X’ (formerly Twitter). Phrases like ‘GET WELL SOON JUNGKOOK’ and ‘WE LOVE YOU JUNGKOOK’ rapidly trended globally, dominating real-time feeds. Fans actively shared the hashtag ‘#Jungkook_RestUntilYouFullyRecover’ (originally #정국아_다나을때까지_푹쉬어) to express their collective wishes for his swift and complete recovery, demonstrating the strong bond between BTS and ARMY.
