Global superstars BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan) have unveiled a sneak peek of their highly anticipated new song, “SWIM.”
On March 18th, BTS released a music video teaser for the title track “SWIM” from their upcoming 5th full-length album, “ARIRANG,” on their official social media channels and YouTube. This first glimpse of the song’s melody has ignited even greater excitement for their comeback after 3 years and 9 months.
The teaser video opens with a woman rushing into an empty museum, quickly surveying the exhibition space. She then stops in front of a large ship model, unable to take her eyes off it. The surrounding lights gradually turn off, leaving only the model illuminated. The scene transitions to a shimmering sea. The word “SWIM” appears on the gentle waves, marking the end of the teaser.
Directed by Tanu Muino, the video has a cinematic feel. Tanu Muino previously worked with Jungkook on his “Standing Next to You” music video, and has also collaborated with artists like Post Malone, Doja Cat, and Dua Lipa.
BTS’s new album, “ARIRANG,” is set to be released on March 20th at 1 PM KST. Bang Si-hyuk, Chairman of HYBE Corporation, served as the executive producer for the album, which explores BTS’s identity and universal emotions that many can relate to. The title track “SWIM” is an upbeat alternative pop song that conveys the message of continuing to swim through the waves of life without stopping. RM took charge of writing the lyrics, reflecting what BTS is thinking now.
