Get ready, ARMY! BTS is transforming Seoul into a festival paradise for their comeback celebration.
BigHit Music announced the detailed program for ‘BTS THE CITY ARIRANG SEOUL’ on the global superfan platform Weverse on March 16th. This immersive urban project, taking place from March 20th to April 19th, promises unique experiences that can only be felt in Seoul during this specific timeframe.
Mark your calendars! March 20th, the release date of their new album ‘ARIRANG,’ will be packed with spectacular events. Prepare to be mesmerized by media facades illuminating iconic landmarks like Sungnyemun Gate and Namsan Seoul Tower starting at 7 PM. And at 8:30 PM, the night sky over Ttukseom Hangang Park will come alive with a breathtaking 15-minute drone light show.

Gwanghwamun Square, the venue for ‘BTS COMEBACK LIVE: ARIRANG,’ will also be transformed into a festive hub. From 7 PM on March 20th to midnight on March 21st, large outdoor screens in the square will showcase BTS comeback content. Don’t miss the music light shows at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) and Banpo Bridge Moonlight Rainbow Fountain. The DDP show runs from March 20th to April 12th, while Banpo Bridge will light up on March 21st and 22nd, creating a romantic atmosphere for visitors.
Beyond the stunning visuals, there are plenty of interactive activities. Participate in the ‘Stamp Rally’ mission by visiting locations hosting ‘THE CITY’ programs, including Yeouido, DDP, and Shinsegae Square. Collect stamps and explore all that Seoul has to offer.
From March 20th to 22nd, the event plaza at Yeouido Hangang Park will become a haven for music lovers. The ‘Love Song Lounge’ will offer a space to share and enjoy music, connecting with the new album’s global campaign, ‘WHAT IS YOUR LOVE SONG?’ Expect engaging experiential content, busking performances, and photo zones. From April 6th to 12th, DDP Exhibition Hall 1 will transform into ‘DDP ARMY MADANG,’ a special space for fans. And from April 6th to 19th, Cheonggyecheon Stream and Yongsan Station will host the ‘Love Quarter’ program, captivating visitors with media productions that bring BTS’s new album messages to life using light and video against the backdrop of stone walls, stairs, and trees.
In addition to these events, programs in collaboration with mobility, accommodation, finance, and F&B companies will be introduced. These partnerships aim to enhance visitor convenience and provide more opportunities to experience ‘THE CITY’ in everyday life. These new collaborations promise an even more enhanced and enjoyable experience compared to previous ‘THE CITY’ events.
