A woman in her 30s has been indicted by the Seoul Western District Prosecutors Office on charges of stalking and trespassing, violating the Act on Punishment of Stalking Crimes.
The suspect, a Brazilian national, allegedly visited the home of Jungkook, a member of the popular K-pop group BTS, approximately 20 times between December and January. She repeatedly rang the doorbell and left letters.
The woman reportedly told prosecutors her actions were motivated by “love for Jungkook.”
She was initially apprehended and arrested in December while attempting to visit his residence but was subsequently released.
Authorities had issued a restraining order prohibiting her from approaching within 100 meters of Jungkook’s home in the Yongsan Ward of Seoul.
Despite the restraining order, she continued her attempts to visit Jungkook, leading police to refer her case to prosecutors in February.
