K-pop group RESCENE (Woni, Liv, Minami, May, Jena) has triumphantly topped the Melon charts.
RESCENE’s title track ‘LOVE ATTACK’ from their 1st mini-album ‘SCENEDROME’, originally released in August 2024, soared to No. 1 on Melon’s ‘TOP100’ as of July 8th. This marks their first time reaching the top spot approximately two years after its initial release, a remarkable instance of a song re-entering and climbing the music charts following significant social media buzz.
‘LOVE ATTACK’ also secured the No. 3 spot on Melon’s Daily Chart. The track ranked No. 3 on the FLO chart, achieved No. 4 on Genie Music’s ‘TOP 200’ real-time chart and No. 5 on its daily chart, and notably reached No. 4 on both the daily and real-time charts for Bugs.

This impressive surge in rankings for ‘LOVE ATTACK’ followed a viral sensation sparked by member Woni’s personal YouTube channel, ‘Hello, This is Woni, Please Take Care of Me’ (안녕하세요원이입니다잘부탁드립니다). Her unique gyaru and dialect concept garnered significant buzz across social media platforms. This phenomenon, dubbed the “RESCENE boom,” led to ‘LOVE ATTACK’ being rediscovered by a wider audience and consequently, its spectacular rise on the music charts.
Adding to their success, RESCENE’s remake single ‘Pretty Girl’, which was released on various music streaming sites at 6 PM on the 8th, also immediately entered the upper echelons of the charts. ‘Pretty Girl’ remarkably achieved No. 1 on Melon’s ‘HOT100’, No. 4 on ‘TOP100′, No. 2 on Bugs’ real-time chart, and No. 11 on Genie Music’s ‘TOP 200’.

Furthermore, several of RESCENE’s previously released tracks have also entered the upper tiers of Melon’s ‘TOP100’. These include ‘Pinball’, a double title track from their 1st mini-album, ‘Deja Vu’, the title track from their 2nd single album, and the digital single ‘Runaway’.
Since their debut, RESCENE has consistently maintained a unique “fragrance concept” with each album release. Fans can look forward to their performance of the remake single ‘Pretty Girl’ for the very first time on a music broadcast, airing on Mnet’s ‘M Countdown’ on the afternoon of the 9th.
