Olive Young Launches Second US K-Beauty Retail Store in Los Angeles
Olive Young Century City (CJ Olive Young)

CJ Olive Young, a leading Korean beauty retailer, has significantly expanded its US footprint with the grand opening of its second store in Los Angeles. This strategic move accelerates the company’s offline expansion efforts in one of its most rapidly growing international markets for K-beauty.

The newest location, Olive Young Century City, is situated within the prestigious Westfield Century City mall, a prime shopping destination in Los Angeles. The opening was met with considerable excitement, as eager customers were seen lining up outside the store prior to its launch.

Diverging from its initial US store in Pasadena, which primarily catered to consumers already familiar with K-beauty trends, the Century City location aims to attract a broader and more premium customer demographic. This new store is designed to elevate awareness of diverse Korean beauty brands among a wider audience.

To meticulously address local demand and preferences, the Olive Young Century City store boasts a dedicated skin-care section that is 1.5 times larger than what is typically found in Olive Young stores in Korea. Additionally, members can benefit from complimentary skin analysis services, offering personalized product recommendations tailored to individual skin concerns.

The store also features engaging themed zones that highlight prominent K-beauty trends and innovations. The “Boost & Glow Bar” showcases popular serums and essences, while the “Prep Bar” is dedicated to essential toner pads and advanced sun-care products. Furthermore, a specialized beauty-device section introduces cutting-edge skin-care and home-care technologies widely favored by Korean consumers.

“Our objective is to cultivate a loyal Olive Young customer base across the US through unique differentiated services, attractive member benefits, and immersive in-store experiences, mirroring our successful approach in Korea,” stated a company official. “By meticulously tailoring our product selection, store operations, and promotional strategies to align with local preferences, we are confident in establishing Olive Young as a trusted and essential beauty retailer in the competitive US market.”
