JYP Entertainment’s (hereafter JYP) rising boy group NEXZ, comprising members Tomoya, Yu, Haru, So Geon, Seita, Hyui, and Yuki, is making a significant splash with their new song ‘Mmchk’.
The ‘Mmchk’ music video, released on April 27th at 6 PM (KST), has rapidly surpassed 24 million views on YouTube. As of 8:30 AM on the 4th, it had accumulated an impressive 24,667,891 views. On the very day of its release, the music video soared to 11th place on YouTube’s trending worldwide chart, and within just two days, by the afternoon of the 29th, it had already broken the 10 million views mark on YouTube.
NEXZ recently captivated audiences on the popular YouTube channel ‘STUDIO CHOOM’, showcasing exceptional energy that firmly establishes them as a “group of dance prodigies” and “next-generation performance top-tier” K-pop artists. As a JYP-affiliated boy group, their distinct groove and sharp, vibrant performances, along with the catchy “Mmchk Mmchk” lyrics accompanied by their signature fist-clenching point choreography, have deeply resonated with global K-pop fans.

According to JYP, NEXZ is also progressively releasing a variety of content that showcases their entertainment flair and the distinct charms of each member, complementing their powerful performances. This includes their heartwarming senior-junior collaboration on the YouTube channel ‘Donghaemul and Baekdueunhyuk’s ‘Come This Way S3’, which garnered significant buzz, and the touching “healing chemistry” between “uncles” Tomoya and Yu with Bom on ‘The Return of Superman – Dream Friends’.
NEXZ’s highly anticipated first comeback release for 2026, ‘Mmchk’, features a total of three tracks. It is spearheaded by the title track of the same name, with lyrics co-written by members Yuki, Hyui, and Tomoya. The album also includes ‘HYPEMAN’, a track exclusively penned by Yuki and Tomoya, and the ‘Mmchk (English Version)’ crafted specifically for their global fanbase.
‘Mmchk’ delivers a powerful message: ‘Let’s act freely and enjoy ourselves in our own unique way, rather than adhering strictly to predetermined conventions.’
