K-pop sensation Riize has officially claimed the prestigious No. 1 spot on Oricon’s Weekly Album Ranking with their highly successful second EP, “II,” as announced by their agency SM Entertainment on Tuesday.
This remarkable achievement marks the second time the popular boy group has topped the esteemed Oricon albums chart, following the immense success of their debut EP, “Riizing,” released in 2024. Riize’s latest endeavor, “II,” demonstrated impressive chart longevity, initially entering the competitive weekly chart at No. 31 before steadily climbing to secure the coveted No. 1 position in its fourth week.
Released in June, Riize’s second EP, “II,” quickly garnered immense commercial success, selling over 1 million copies within just four days of its launch. This monumental feat makes it the group’s fourth million-selling album, solidifying Riize’s reputation as a global K-pop powerhouse. Furthermore, the EP showcased its widespread appeal by topping the iTunes Top Albums Chart in six different regions and earning platinum certification in China, a testament to its popularity verified by QQ Music.
Meanwhile, the six talented members of Riize are currently captivating fans across Japan with their highly anticipated fan meetup tour, “Riize Playing Game.” This exciting three-city tour kicked off in Fukuoka last week and is set to continue with stops in major cities including Tokyo and Kobe, allowing Japanese fans to connect directly with the chart-topping K-pop group.
