Global K-pop phenomenon BTS has achieved a significant milestone, with their music video for “2.0” surpassing 100 million views on YouTube as of Tuesday. This impressive feat was confirmed by their agency, Big Hit Music, on Wednesday.
Released last month, the visually striking music video for “2.0” captivated fans with its intricate choreography by the septet and distinctive kitsch aesthetic. Notably, the video pays a compelling homage to director Park Chan-wook’s critically acclaimed 2003 film, “Oldboy.”
The track “2.0,” a dynamic blend of hip-hop and trap genres, made a strong global impact. It successfully debuted on the prestigious Billboard Hot 100 chart at No. 50 and maintained its presence for an impressive four consecutive weeks. Furthermore, the single also secured a notable spot on the UK’s Official Singles Chart, reaching No. 94.
Demonstrating its widespread popularity, “2.0” has consistently held a prominent position on Spotify’s Daily and Weekly Top Songs Chart Global, achieving peak rankings of No. 6 and No. 9, respectively.
