K-pop sensation Babymonster has officially reached 12 million subscribers on YouTube as of Sunday, setting a new record for the fastest K-pop girl group to achieve this milestone since their debut, doing so in just two years and two months. This impressive feat was announced by their agency, YG Entertainment, on Monday.
This achievement firmly establishes the seven-member group as holding the third-highest subscriber count among all K-pop girl groups globally, trailing only iconic acts Blackpink and Twice.
Further amplifying their rapid rise, the music video for “Choom,” the acclaimed title track from their highly anticipated third EP, garnered an astounding 15 million views within half a day of its release. This propelled the track straight to the summit of YouTube’s worldwide trending chart, showcasing their immense global appeal.
Looking ahead, June marks the exciting launch of Babymonster’s ambitious world tour, aptly named after their mini album. This extensive tour will span 27 shows across 18 vibrant cities, with confirmed stops including six cities in Japan, eight across various Southeast Asian nations, and three in Oceania, promising fans an unforgettable experience.
