Rookie debut planned for late 2026
Expanding its successful multi-label system, Hybe has officially launched a new label dedicated to girl groups, gearing up for another significant rookie debut later this year.
The company recently announced the establishment of this new entity, named ABD. Standing for “A Bold Dream,” the label aims to pursue groundbreaking creative ideas beyond conventional boundaries, thereby expanding new frontiers in K-pop through innovative music content and comprehensive artist development.
ABD will be spearheaded by Noh Ji-won, acclaimed former head of artist planning at Pledis Entertainment. With extensive experience in label management and operations from Pledis and More Vision, Noh is poised to oversee the strategic management and growth of ABD.
Hybe confirms that ABD’s establishment aligns perfectly with the company’s ongoing multi-label strategy, which prioritizes independent operations and highly specialized production capabilities across its diverse labels.
The new label’s core mission, as stated by Hybe, is to intensely focus on developing differentiated intellectual property specifically for girl groups. This includes introducing “fresh musical approaches and innovative concepts” that are set to redefine and bring significant new changes to the global music market.
Anticipation builds as ABD prepares to debut its highly anticipated first girl group in the latter half of this year.
Under the expert guidance of Han Sung-soo, a master professional within Hybe, the group’s entire production will be meticulously overseen. This encompasses everything from its unique music and conceptual direction to its captivating performance. Han is a renowned producer, celebrated for his work with successful acts such as Seventeen, TWS, After School, and Iz*One.
