In its second week on Billboard’s prestigious Hot 100 chart, BTS’s highly acclaimed lead single “Swim” moved to No. 2, as revealed by the US chart preview published Monday.
The hit single “Swim” had previously achieved a chart-topping debut on the Billboard Hot 100, maintaining its strong performance in digital sales. Meanwhile, Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” impressively returned to the No. 1 position on the Hot 100, marking its fifth week at the top since its release in February.
“Swim” originates from BTS’s fifth studio album, “Arirang,” an album that has made historic strides by extending its reign atop the Billboard 200 for a second consecutive week. This groundbreaking achievement marks a significant first for any K-pop group or artist in the chart’s history.
On the UK’s Official Singles Top 100, the single “Swim” also saw remarkable success, reaching No. 2—the highest position ever for the septet on this chart—before settling at No. 5. Concurrently, the album “Arirang” secured a strong No. 4 spot, after initially charting higher.
Looking forward, global K-pop superstars BTS are preparing to embark on their highly anticipated world tour, commencing this Thursday in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, much to the excitement of fans globally.
