BTS has once again cemented its place in music history, dominating Billboard’s Global 200 and Global Excl. US charts with the release of their highly anticipated fifth studio album, “Arirang.”
The global superstars claimed the top nine positions on the Global 200 chart, matching the record previously set by Taylor Swift in 2024. On the Global Excl. US chart, BTS achieved an unprecedented feat, holding all top 13 spots – surpassing Swift’s previous record of nine from last year. This impressive achievement includes every track from the new album, with the exception of the sixth track, which features the tolling of the Sacred Bell of Great King Seongdeok.
The album’s lead single, “Swim,” soared to the top of both charts, demonstrating the group’s continued global appeal.
“Swim” also achieved a chart-topping debut on the Hot 100, becoming BTS’s seventh song to do so, according to the chart preview. The album, “Arirang,” also claimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart.
In other news, BTS has announced the highly anticipated return of their beloved reality show, “Run BTS,” after a hiatus of approximately three years, much to the excitement of their global fanbase.
