Released on March 20th, “Arirang” immediately captivated fans worldwide, selling a remarkable 3.98 million copies on its release day alone. This easily surpasses the first-week sales of their previous record-breaking album, “Map of the Soul: 7,” released in 2020, solidifying BTS’s unparalleled influence in the music industry.
“Arirang” has dominated global music charts, reaching the No. 1 position on Apple Music albums charts in an impressive 102 regions. By Friday, the album had expanded its reach, securing the top spot in 13 additional regions. Furthermore, “Arirang” has conquered Oricon’s weekly album chart, weekly combined album chart, and weekly digital album chart, showcasing its immense popularity in Japan.
The album’s focus track, “Swim,” has also achieved remarkable success, maintaining its position atop Spotify’s global songs chart for six consecutive days.
