Nongshim announced on Thursday its sponsorship of the “Best Restaurant in Korea” award at the prestigious Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants event held in Hong Kong. This partnership highlights Nongshim’s commitment to supporting culinary excellence and showcasing its iconic Shin Ramyun brand on the world stage.
The coveted award was presented to Mingles, a renowned Korean restaurant helmed by chef Kang Min-gu. Mingles secured an impressive fourth-place ranking overall, making it the highest-ranked Korean establishment on the list.
The Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants event, often referred to as the “Oscars of gastronomy,” took place from March 23-25. The rankings are determined by votes from a panel of over 300 industry experts, including celebrated chefs, food critics, and culinary influencers. Nongshim has been an official partner of this influential event since 2024.
In addition to sponsoring the award, Nongshim actively engaged with attendees through on-site promotions. These included popular tasting sessions featuring Shin Ramyun and related products, allowing guests to experience the unique flavors of the globally recognized noodle brand. The company also hosted a special chef collaboration session showcasing the talents of David Lai, from the Michelin one-star restaurant Neighborhood, and chef Kang Byung-wook.
According to a Nongshim representative, the company aims to further strengthen Shin Ramyun’s premium brand image through continued engagement with the global culinary community and support for initiatives that celebrate gastronomic innovation and excellence.
