Anticipating a massive influx of over 260,000 visitors for the highly anticipated March 21st BTS comeback concert, the Seoul Metropolitan Government has announced a robust safety plan, including the installation of nearly 900 public and temporary toilets near Gwanghwamun Square.

Recognizing the concert’s significant female fanbase, the plan prioritizes additional women-only facilities, reflecting the reported ratio of female ticket holders being twice that of male ticket holders.

To ensure smooth entry and exit, the city will deploy dedicated crowd control personnel at key locations. Fire and emergency medical teams will be strategically positioned for immediate response. The city’s disaster and safety control center will utilize urban data and security cameras to monitor crowd density in real-time, allowing for proactive intervention.

Addressing potential mobile network congestion on the concert day, Seoul will launch a dedicated website on March 11th. This website will provide crucial information including road closures, public transit adjustments, subway bypass options, and the locations of toilets, medical posts, and information booths. The website will feature multilingual maps in Korean, English, Chinese, and Japanese to cater to international visitors.

Authorities are also intensifying monitoring of nearby hotels and restaurants to prevent price gouging. A convenient QR code system will be available on-site for attendees to easily file complaints regarding inflated prices or other issues.

The city is committed to finalizing all safety measures following a comprehensive review in the coming weeks. The Seoul Metropolitan Government has also requested police assistance with traffic control to ensure the BTS comeback concert proceeds smoothly and safely.
