Le Sserafim’s hit English single, “Perfect Night,” has achieved double platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ), the organization announced Friday. This milestone highlights the group’s growing global popularity and success in the Japanese market.
“Perfect Night” surpassed 200 million streams by January, marking it as Le Sserafim’s second song to reach this impressive number. The first was “Antifragile,” the title track from their acclaimed second EP. This achievement solidifies Le Sserafim’s position as a leading force in K-pop and their ability to resonate with international audiences.
The quintet released “Perfect Night” as a digital single in 2023, with member Heo Yunjin contributing to the songwriting process. The song’s catchy melody and relatable lyrics have resonated deeply with fans worldwide.
Adding to their recent success, Le Sserafim’s first single album, “Spaghetti,” topped Oricon’s Weekly Single Ranking earlier this month. This accomplishment marks the first time in three years that an international female artist has achieved the No. 1 spot on this prestigious chart. The previous record-holder was also Le Sserafim, with their debut Japanese single “Fearless.” This continued dominance showcases their strong appeal to Japanese music fans.
Fans can look forward to seeing the five members perform at Summer Sonic, one of Japan’s largest and most renowned music festivals, this summer. This appearance will further solidify Le Sserafim’s presence in the Japanese music scene and provide an exciting opportunity for fans to experience their electrifying performances live.
