BTS V Goes Viral in Mexico: Unforgettable Fan Interactions, Street Food, and Toasts at the Arirang World Tour

BTS member V (Kim Taehyung) captivated fans worldwide with a series of charming and down-to-earth interactions during the recent Arirang World Tour concert in Mexico City. These viral moments highlighted his approachable personality and deepened his connection with ARMYs across the globe.
The first memorable episode unfolded during the second show on the 8th (local time). A staple of the BTS Arirang Tour concert’s latter half is the ‘IDOL’ performance parade, where members, holding flags, walk the stadium runway with dancers, creating intimate moments with their dedicated fans.
It was during this energetic segment that V was spotted making an unexpected stop. He paused at a street vendor inside the venue to purchase and enjoy a ‘Banderilla,’ a popular Mexican street food skewer. The sight of V casually munching on the skewer quickly caught the attention of his fellow members, including J-Hope, who burst into laughter. The delightful video instantly went viral across X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok, sparking joy among fans.
ARMYs celebrated V’s spontaneous act, playfully declaring him “officially Mexican.” The emotional reaction of the surprised street vendor, who unexpectedly served one of the world’s biggest stars, also became a trending topic, adding to the charm of the moment.
A second heartwarming incident occurred during the final concert on the 10th. In the same parade segment, V took fan interaction to another level. He personally bought a drink from a nearby bar and offered it to fans in the audience, sharing a special toast with them. V’s manager was seen filming this incredible scene on his phone, leading to widespread anticipation among fans that “V will surely upload this to Instagram soon.”
Fan accounts quickly shared their excitement; @Taehyungimpact reported, “V toasted with ARMYs during the parade on the last day,” while @datethv exclaimed, “If he uploads this video, I’ll die!” A Spanish-speaking fan, @vangguk20, conveyed their heartfelt longing, tweeting, “I’m so jealous.”
Throughout the entire Mexico tour, V consistently won over the hearts of fans. On the opening night, he delivered a heartfelt message he had prepared in Spanish, proclaiming, “You are the reason for my life and my everything.” On the 6th, during his appearance on the balcony of the National Palace, he also prepared a Spanish speech, eliciting roaring cheers from an estimated 50,000 people. Even the Mexican fan club ‘Kim Taehyung MX’ organized a special event to install a commemorative plaque for V on the ‘Silver Wall (Pared de Plata)’ at the Mexico City Museum. BTS successfully concluded their triumphant return to Mexico after nine years, selling out all three concerts at the GNP Seguros Stadium in Mexico City on the 7th, 9th, and 10th, marking a memorable and impactful tour.
