K-pop sensation TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) has made their highly anticipated comeback, bringing with them a renewed sense of purpose and a deeper mindset.
On April 13th, TOMORROW X TOGETHER members Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Hueningkai gathered at Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium in Anam-dong, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, to host a grand showcase celebrating the release of their eighth mini-album, titled ‘7TH YEAR: When the Wind Briefly Stopped in the Thicket’.
During the showcase, TXT leader Soobin shared his feelings about the comeback, stating, “This is our first album since our contract renewal, so the emotions feel fresh and new. We are committed to showing everyone an even more impressive side of ourselves.” Hueningkai added, “The album title for this one is quite long! We’ve poured a wide range of emotions into our music. We’ve prepared diligently, and we hope you’ll receive it warmly.”
‘7TH YEAR: When the Wind Briefly Stopped in the Thicket’ marks TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s first group album since their contract renewal with Big Hit Music last August. This latest work candidly reflects the emotions and thoughts the members have experienced throughout their seven years in the industry since their debut. The album delves into intimate feelings, such as the growing sense of responsibility since their debut, the confusion arising from the disparity between expectations and reality, and the anxieties and worries they felt leading up to their contract renewal. Significantly, while their previous works often featured a fictional ‘boy’ narrating the saga of youth, this time the TXT members themselves step forward as the protagonists of their story, promising to unveil new facets of their artistry and personal journeys.
Beomgyu commented on their musical evolution, saying, “We, who have always narrated stories of a boy’s growth, have now returned with a poignant love story. It’s already our 8th year since debut, and time truly seems to fly by so quickly.” Yeonjun expressed his excitement, “As this is our first comeback after the contract renewal, we prepared diligently with the mindset of a new debut. We’re very eager to see how our fans and the public will perceive it. We ask for your continued love and support.” Taehyun confidently concluded, “Just as we have always done over the past seven years, we will dedicate our absolute best to these promotions.”
TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s 8th mini-album, ‘7TH YEAR: When the Wind Briefly Stopped in the Thicket,’ is set to be released on various online music platforms at 6 PM KST on April 13th.
