BTS’s Jin once again proves his title as the “Sold Out King,” showcasing his immense popularity and brand power.
Recently, BTS announced the release of their 5th full-length album, ‘ARIRANG.’ Sales of individual member LP (vinyl) versions of ‘ARIRANG’ also began simultaneously. Among them, Jin’s version LP was the first to sell out on Fnac, France’s largest platform. Fnac is not only the largest in France but also one of the biggest record and cultural product sales platforms in Europe.
On March 15th, along with the BTS group version (Rooted in Korea Version) ‘ARIRANG’ CD and group version LP, it was confirmed that two members’ individual ‘ARIRANG’ LPs were sold out. Jin was the first member to sell out, proving his passionate popularity in Europe. Previously, Jin’s individual ‘ARIRANG’ LP from BTS’s 5th full-length album also quickly sold out on Weverse USA.

In the ‘2023 Overseas Korean Wave Survey Report,’ where the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism collected and analyzed data with the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE) in 2023, Jin ranked 5th among singers/groups in France, the only BTS member to be named, proving his immense popularity and overwhelming brand power.
Jin also participated as a torchbearer for the ‘2024 Paris Summer Olympics’ in Paris, France, in July 2024. France’s largest weekly magazine, Paris Match, introduced Jin as the only foreigner among 31 stars carrying the torch, describing him as “a true prince who ascended the throne 235 years after the French Revolution.”
In another article, Paris Match reported the news that Jin became a global ambassador for Gucci in Italy, saying that Gucci was chosen by Jin in the competition among European countries to win him over. The magazine also mentioned that France did not lose everything to its biggest rival, Italy, and announced that Jin was selected as the first global ambassador for the French luxury jewelry brand Fred, calling him “Europe’s Darling.”
Visual King and Vocal King Jin has shown outstanding performance not only in his main career as a solo artist, including solo albums, solo fan meeting concerts, and world tours, but also in advertisements and entertainment programs. With the upcoming BTS album activities, Jin is receiving high expectations from all over the world.
