A total of 20 artists and key executives from JYP Entertainment (hereinafter JYP) have been selected as members of the Recording Academy®, the organization behind the prestigious Grammy Awards.
According to JYP on the 14th, 18 artists, including J.Y. Park, all members of TWICE (Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, Tzuyu), and all members of Stray Kids (Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, I.N.), have been appointed as Recording Academy voting members.
Voting members are music creators actively engaged in the recording industry, such as artists, songwriters, producers, and engineers. This membership grants them the exclusive right to participate in the nomination and winner selection process for the Grammy Awards.
JYP CEO Jung Wook and Shin Hyung-guk, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and CEO of JYP America, were selected as Recording Academy Professional Members. Professional members are music business experts who directly support music creators and can engage in the Recording Academy’s music industry community, various programs, networking events, and the Grammy Awards submission procedures.
Established in 1957, the Recording Academy is a leading music organization in the United States, advocating for the voices of music industry professionals including artists, lyricists, producers, and engineers. Since 1959, it has hosted the Grammy Awards, recognized as the world’s most prestigious music awards ceremony. Each year, it extends invitations to music professionals globally to enhance the diversity and expertise within the music community.
This past January, J.Y. Park, an active artist and JYP’s Chief Creative Officer (CCO), along with Jung Wook and Shin Hyung-guk, were recognized in the Multi-Sector category of the ‘2026 Billboard Power 100.’ This list, curated by U.S. Billboard, meticulously selects individuals who exert significant influence across various sectors of the global music industry. In March, they were further honored as ‘2026 Billboard Global Power Players,’ a distinction for leaders who are at the forefront of the global music market in regions outside the U.S.
