Lim Young-woong has made history by surpassing 13.6 billion cumulative streams on Melon, becoming the all-time leader on the platform. This achievement pushes him past the previous record held by the global sensation, BTS, on South Korea’s largest music streaming service.
As of 9 AM on March 27th, Lim Young-woong’s total streams reached an astounding 13.6 billion. This milestone comes just two weeks after he surpassed BTS’s previous record of 13.5 billion streams on March 11th at 9 AM, adding an incredible 100 million streams in that short period. This marks a significant moment in the K-pop industry, with a solo artist overtaking a global group to claim the top spot.

The success of Lim Young-woong’s second full-length album, ‘IM HERO 2,’ has proven his cross-generational appeal and immense digital music power. He is a member of Melon’s ‘Diamond Club,’ awarded to artists with over 10 billion cumulative streams, and his current rate of reaching 13.6 billion streams continues to impress.
Shortly after breaking the record, Lim Young-woong shared his feelings through his official fan cafe, ‘Hero Generation,’ stating, “I still can’t believe the number 13.5 billion. All of this was possible only because of the Hero Generation family. This is an incredibly precious record because it contains your valuable time.”
Meanwhile, Lim Young-woong is scheduled to hold his solo concert, ‘IM HERO – THE STADIUM 2,’ at the Goyang Stadium in September, where he will meet with his fans.
