K-pop group RESCENE’s member May has successfully fulfilled her promise to fans by completing her pledge related to their song entering the Melon ‘TOP 100’ chart.
On June 20th, May demonstrated her dedication by walking 3.26km as part of her “Walking into Geoje” self-produced content on RESCENE’s official YouTube channel. This specific distance was chosen to commemorate RESCENE’s debut date, March 26th.
May had previously made a unique pledge regarding the title track ‘LOVE ATTACK’ from RESCENE’s 1st mini-album ‘SCENEDROME’. She promised to “run all the way to Geoje” if the song entered the Melon ‘TOP100’ chart. This ambitious commitment quickly earned her the affectionate nickname ‘May’s Runner’ among fans.

‘LOVE ATTACK’ experienced a significant resurgence approximately two years after its initial release. This was sparked by the viral success on social media of member Woni’s personal YouTube channel, ‘Hello, this is Woni, please take care of me,’ where she presented a unique Gyaru and dialect concept. Following this renewed attention, the track not only successfully entered the prestigious Melon ‘TOP100’ chart but also achieved top rankings on the daily charts.
During her “Walking into Geoje” content, May shared delightful scenes of her exploring Geoje’s city center, enjoying the local neighborhood, and skipping stones by the sea. In a heartwarming display of fan engagement, RESCENE’s fandom, Remind, actively participated in a step-count donation challenge in May’s honor. This charitable initiative, inspired by May’s pledge fulfillment, resulted in a donation made in the names of RESCENE and Remind to Habitat for Humanity Korea.
In other exciting news, RESCENE has announced their highly anticipated comeback with the remake single ‘Pretty Girl,’ scheduled for release on the 8th of next month at 6 PM KST.
