BTS’s Jungkook continued his impressive long-running success on the Billboard charts with his hit single ‘Seven,’ solidifying his global popularity.
Jungkook’s solo debut song, ‘Seven,’ climbed to 159th place on the ‘Global 200’ chart, published by the US music media outlet Billboard on April 18th. This marks a notable six-spot ascent from the previous week’s ranking.
‘Seven’ extended its remarkable chart run, entering the chart for an unprecedented 140th consecutive week, making it the first and longest-charting song by an Asian group or solo artist in history. Furthermore, on the April 18th ‘Global (Excl. US)’ chart, it rose five spots to 84th place, setting a new record as the first and longest-charting song by an Asian solo artist for 143 weeks.

On the April 18th Billboard Korea ‘Global K-Songs’ chart, ‘Seven’ secured 21st place, ‘Standing Next To You’ took 52nd, and ‘3D’ landed at 69th. All three tracks have now consistently charted for 20 consecutive weeks, showcasing Jungkook’s sustained presence in the K-pop landscape.
Previously, Jungkook achieved a remarkable feat by topping both the ‘Global 200’ and ‘Global (Excl. US)’ charts with ‘Seven,’ ‘Standing Next to You,’ and ‘3D.’ Across these two influential charts, Jungkook has had 17 and 18 songs chart, respectively, accumulating an impressive total of 275 and 326 weeks on the charts throughout his career.
‘Seven’ debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s highly competitive main singles ‘Hot 100’ chart and impressively remained on the chart for 15 weeks. Furthermore, on Spotify’s primary chart, ‘Weekly Top Songs Global,’ it set an unprecedented record for an Asian solo artist, charting for 143 consecutive weeks. The track also became the first song by an Asian artist and the first 2023 release to surpass an astonishing 2.889 billion streams globally. The official music video for ‘Seven’ has also achieved massive popularity, successfully sailing past 600 million views.
