“He Might Not Know, But Today I Taught My Daughter That Dreams Come True.” BTS Jimin Consoles Crying Fan with His Hat at Mexico Concert, Saying ‘Don’t Cry’.

BTS’s Jimin touched the hearts of fans worldwide when he consoled a young crying fan by handing her his hat during the final performance of the Arirang World Tour in Mexico City.
On the 10th (local time), during a concert at GNP Seguros Stadium, Jimin spotted a young fan crying at the front of the stage. He immediately crouched down at the edge of the stage, handed his hat to a staff member, who then passed it to the fan. Jimin told the fan, “Don’t cry,” before continuing the performance. The girl, after receiving the hat, hugged her mother and cried, then wiped her tears, lifted the hat, and smiled brightly, while her family members embraced her warmly.
The fan’s mother, Grecia Ortega, posted a video capturing this emotional moment on social media, expressing deep gratitude with a short message, “Gracias Jimin (Thank you Jimin).” She added a heartfelt caption to the video, “He probably doesn’t know, but today I taught my daughter that all dreams come true,” which brought tears to many viewers’ eyes. The Spanish subtitle in the video, “Y el tan dulce y conmovido de verla (And he was so sweet and moved to see her),” vividly captured Jimin’s thoughtful reaction.
Jimin’s genuine reaction, noticing small details in the audience even during a performance, deeply moved fans. The video of this heartwarming interaction quickly went viral on X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok. @soloistsyd commented, “He’s truly precious,” while @jusstalover praised his incredible stage presence, saying, “The speed at which Jimin moves is just incredible. Without even getting out of breath.”
Jimin displayed exceptional affection throughout his Mexico tour. He currently holds the record for the most streams among K-pop solo artists on the Mexican Spotify chart, with an impressive 97 million streams. On the first day of the concert, he captivated the 50,000-strong audience by delivering a pre-prepared message in Spanish: “I didn’t know you were this amazing. I love you more than anyone,” drawing thunderous applause.
