IVE (An Yu-jin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Won-young, Liz, Lee-seo) kicked off their comeback with their fans.

Following the release of their 2nd full album ‘REVIVE+’ on February 23rd at 6 PM KST, IVE held a fan showcase at the YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul at 7 PM KST. This showcase was live-streamed on TikTok and YouTube, allowing them to connect with DIVE (official fan club name) around the world and spend a meaningful time together.

IVE proved their unique presence from the opening stage. IVE, who powerfully opened with the double title track ‘BANG BANG,’ which was pre-released on the 9th, received news through the MC immediately after the stage that the song had reached number 1 on the Melon TOP100 chart, eliciting enthusiastic cheers from fans. The surprise news of topping the charts at the same time as their comeback instantly brought the heat of the scene to its peak.

As it is their first full album in about 2 years and 10 months, this showcase consisted of album introductions, various talks, and corners. IVE shared their thoughts on their 2nd full album, which they had been preparing for a long time, and revealed behind-the-scenes stories from the music video shoot for the title track ‘BLACKHOLE’. In particular, the explanation that the scene shown on a high-rise building with a height of 555m was actually filmed created amazement at the scene.

Music appreciation corners that showed the members’ musical growth also followed. In the special music appreciation session, they listened to the title song and some of the b-side tracks, sharing the work process and points to appreciate. Then, not only the point choreography of the double title tracks ‘Bang Bang’ and ‘Black Hole,’ but also a time to listen to all the members’ solo songs, which were included for the first time since their debut, was prepared. IVE said, “I’m happy to be able to let you hear the songs that were briefly released at the concert like this as audio,” expressing their feelings about the release of their solo tracks.

The ‘Revive Plus Heart’ corner, filled with fans’ support, also elicited a great response. As DIVE’s own reviews and expectations were revealed together, the members chose their own messages and expressed their gratitude. IVE struck a pose in accordance with the expectations that quoted ‘Black Hole,’ and continued to communicate pleasantly by responding to the support messages that utilized ‘Bang Bang’.

The highlight of the showcase was, of course, the stage for the title track ‘Black Hole’, which was unveiled for the first time. Finishing the showcase, IVE said, “This album is a full album that we are presenting after a long time, so I think we prepared for a long time. While preparing, I thought I wanted to show it to DIVE as soon as possible, but I’m really happy to be able to show it to you like this. We six really put a lot of effort into the album, so I hope DIVE will enjoy it happily as well.”

IVE’s 2nd full album ‘Revive Plus’ contains the meaning of reignition, ‘to rekindle’. It contains the ambition to make the flame that is burning under the name of IVE spread further and wider, rather than simply relighting a extinguished fire. The title track ‘Black Hole’ is a song with an impressive sound that unfolds cinematically, and expresses IVE’s view of the present and change through the image of ‘Black Hole’, where extinction and birth coexist.
