Rising K-Pop boy group XLOV has extended heartfelt gratitude to acclaimed actress Han So-hee for her invaluable support.
The sentiment came during the showcase for XLOV’s second mini-album, ‘I, GOD,’ held on May 27th, 2026, at GabiN Art Hall in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Members Wumuti, Lui, Hyun, and Haru gathered to celebrate their latest release.
During the event, XLOV leader Wumuti shared the unique connection between the group and the popular actress. “If I had to describe our bond with senior Han So-hee in one word, it would be ‘a connection forged by music and art’,” Wumuti explained. “Previously, Han So-hee senior used our music in one of her SNS posts. Upon hearing the news, we quickly went to leave a thank you comment. At that time, she replied, saying, ‘I felt a lot of inspiration and like a new world opened up to me while watching your music and all this art. I’m following your work closely and rooting for you,’ even calling herself our fan.”
Wumuti elaborated further on their growing friendship. “Both senior Han So-hee and I share a love for drawing, which led to us talking about wanting to gift her a drawing someday. Later, we actually had the chance to meet and exchanged gifts. When I went to that meeting, I was secretly hoping she might consider appearing in our music video. To my surprise, she was the one who suggested it first, saying, ‘Later, if you ever need someone, even for a brief cameo as a passerby, just showing my back, feel free to call me.’ She also added, ‘Just stepping into XLOV’s world for a moment would give me strength and inspiration.’ That incredible promise has now been fulfilled with this new album.”
Fellow member Haru also enthusiastically praised Han So-hee’s impact, stating, “As expected, we learned so much from senior Han So-hee’s acting. Beyond her artistry, we also learned a great deal as individuals. Everyone was quite exhausted, but thanks to senior Han So-hee, the entire atmosphere brightened considerably.”
XLOV’s new title track, ‘SERVE,’ is a standout for its bold musical experimentation, a style not commonly found in contemporary K-Pop. The track perfectly encapsulates the album’s core identity while seamlessly blending the diverse individual colors of each member.
Notably, the ‘SERVE’ music video features actress Han So-hee, whose guest appearance has generated significant buzz. XLOV and Han So-hee deliver an overwhelming visual synergy, weaving a tense narrative around the chess concept of ‘pawn promotion.’ This theme portrays the journey from imperfection to becoming a complete being. Complementing this, XLOV’s distinctive voguing performance elevates the song’s immersive quality.
XLOV’s much-anticipated second mini-album, ‘I, GOD,’ is set to be released on May 27th, 2026, at 6 PM KST across various online music platforms.
