Mark, formerly of the acclaimed K-pop group NCT, recently shared his heartfelt reflections on achieving his 10th debut anniversary, a significant milestone following his official withdrawal from the group.
On the 9th, Mark conveyed a sincere message through a fan communication platform, stating, “Today marks precisely 10 years since my debut. I wanted to take this opportunity to once again express my deepest gratitude to all the fans who have stood by me throughout this incredible journey.”
Mark also offered insights into his current activities, mentioning, “I’ve been taking some time recently to organize various matters and prepare for what’s next. I haven’t even been looking at social media; I only hear updates through those around me.” He expressed profound gratitude for the unwavering support from fans following his departure from NCT, adding, “I was truly surprised and deeply moved to hear that fans sent support trucks and posted with positive hashtags. My heart is overflowing with thanks for such incredible support.”
He further promised, “I will diligently prepare to return with an image that can provide strength, aiming to reciprocate the encouragement and heartfelt consideration my fans have shown me.” Mark also offered an apology, stating, “I feel truly sorry to all the fans and everyone else who might have been saddened or hurt because of me.”
Additionally, he extended his warm wishes to his former group, “I will definitely visit again. A heartfelt congratulations to NCT on their 10th anniversary,” demonstrating his continued affection and support for the members.
This announcement followed SM Entertainment’s statement on the 3rd, confirming the termination of Mark’s exclusive contract. As a result, Mark concluded all his activities with NCT, encompassing sub-units like NCT 127 and NCT DREAM.
Explaining his decision regarding the contract termination and his departure from NCT, Mark shared, “As my contract approached its conclusion, I found myself deeply contemplating my personal aspirations.” He further clarified his future direction, stating, “Moving forward, I wish to fully dedicate myself to pursuing those dreams.”
