BTS members Suga and V’s emotional return to Bomunsa Temple in Ganghwado after a decade has deeply moved fans worldwide, sparking nostalgic reflections on their journey.
In the latest ‘Run BTS 2.0’ episode, released on May 5th via BANGTANTV YouTube and Weverse, Suga and V embarked on a trip to Bomunsa Temple as a penalty for losing a foot volleyball game. Their visit brought back poignant memories of their rookie days, recalling a time ten years ago when the then-unknown seven members, before the release of their second full album ‘Wings,’ inscribed a fervent wish on a roof tile: “Wings Big Hit.” Suga reflected, “It’s been 10 years. We came with a single hope – that things would turn out well. And that sentiment still holds true today.”
Today, that fervent wish has not only been realized but magnificently surpassed. Their new album, ‘ARIRANG,’ debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and the ‘ARIRANG’ World Tour continues its sold-out streak across more than 85 dates in 23 countries worldwide. Compared to that day they wished for ‘Wings Big Hit,’ their dreams have overflowed into reality, solidifying their status as global music icons.
During this recent visit, V meticulously inscribed a new wish on a roof tile, carefully listing all the members’ names: “BTS Kim Namjoon, Kim Seokjin, Min Yoongi, Jung Hoseok, Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung, Jeon Jungkook. 2026 will be a huge success.” He then added playful doodles: a tall RM, broad-shouldered Jin, the smallest stick figure for Jimin, and biceps for himself. This endearing ‘graffiti’ by V simultaneously brought laughter and touched the hearts of ARMYs, showcasing his deep affection for his fellow members.
Global fans erupted with reactions across social media, particularly on X (formerly Twitter). User @koostrous commented, “Taehyung, 2026 is one of your most successful years. Your prayers have been answered!” while @vminpinkie playfully laughed, “Jimin’s stick figure is the smallest.” Another fan summarized V’s adorable perspective: “BTS in V’s eyes: RM is tall, Jin has broad shoulders, Jimin is tiny, V himself has biceps, and Jungkook has abs,” earning widespread agreement and adding to the joy of the episode.
Concluding their trip, Suga and V couldn’t hide their overwhelmed emotions, stating, “We laughed so much. It felt great, like we were on a trip with all the members. Our wishes came true.” The two, who had once earnestly made their wishes ten years prior, now stood in the same spot, truly realizing those wishes had been granted. The broadcast’s ending teaser further heightened global fans’ anticipation, hinting at upcoming episodes featuring beach volleyball, regular volleyball, and a school experience, promising more engaging content from ‘Run BTS 2.0’.
‘Run BTS 2.0’s first episode quickly surpassed 10 million YouTube views within just 10 days of its release, and the second video continued its impressive run, garnering 5 million views in merely three days, demonstrating the enduring global popularity and anticipation for BTS content.
