Global K-Pop sensation BTS has once again showcased South Korea’s cultural influence on the world stage.
The boy group successfully concluded their “BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN STANFORD” across three electrifying days, held on the 16th, 17th, and 19th (local time) at the prestigious Stanford Stadium in the United States. The tour captivated an immense audience of approximately 152,000 fans.
Making history, BTS became only the second artist to perform at the iconic Stanford Stadium, a venue opened in 1921, following legendary band Coldplay. This achievement underscores their undeniable status and growing dominance in the global music industry. A particularly memorable moment occurred on the final day, when fans orchestrated a surprise event that deeply moved the members and created a truly spectacular scene. As the melody of the traditional Korean folk song ‘Arirang’ filled the stadium during the performance of ‘Body to Body’ – a track from their 5th full-length album, also titled ‘ARIRANG’ – the audience collectively raised South Korean Taegeukgi flags they had brought. This powerful visual was amplified by a massive Korean sing-along, demonstrating the strong connection between BTS and their diverse fanbase worldwide.

Towards the end of their unforgettable performances, the BTS members extended their heartfelt gratitude, stating, “We are currently experiencing the best moments of our lives. We were incredibly touched by the event you showed us. We will remember every single moment. We want to express our deepest thanks and look forward to the day we can meet again.”
Looking ahead, BTS is set to make history once more as the first Korean artist to perform at Accor Stadium in Sydney, Australia, on February 20-21 (local time) next year. This monumental venue is a landmark in Sydney, having hosted global music icons such as Adele, Taylor Swift, and Oasis, further solidifying BTS’s position among the world’s elite performers.
Additionally, BTS will attend the esteemed ‘American Music Awards’ (AMAs) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on the 25th at 5 PM. The group has been nominated for the highly coveted ‘Artist of the Year’ category, considered the grand prize of the ceremony. All eyes are on BTS as they vie for their second ‘Artist of the Year’ trophy, following their historic win in 2021. Beyond this top honor, they are also nominated for ‘Song of the Summer’ and ‘Best Male K-Pop Artist,’ highlighting their continued impact across various music categories.
