Global sensation BTS has truly captivated the United States with their innovative projects.
“THE CITY” is an ambitious, large-scale urban activation project that transforms an entire cityscape into an immersive musical experience, reflecting the artists’ narrative throughout the urban space. BTS first launched this groundbreaking project in Las Vegas back in 2022.
Returning approximately four years later, “BTS THE CITY ARIRANG – LAS VEGAS” (hereinafter “THE CITY Las Vegas”) has shown phenomenal growth in scale, living up to its new title, “Global THE CITY 2.0.” According to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, this marks the first time an entire city has engaged in a “city-wide activation” for a single artist, excluding major sports events like the Super Bowl and Formula 1. This unprecedented scale highlights BTS’s immense global impact.

“THE CITY Las Vegas” dramatically expanded its partnerships and infrastructure compared to the 2022 campaign. It effectively took over the city’s most vibrant commercial districts, including the iconic Strip and Downtown areas. A total of 38 major local hotels and resorts joined as partners. This year, the number of participating venues surged to 60, more than doubling the 26 locations from four years prior. The entire city was adorned with BTS branding, integrating 50 large “Digital Marquees” and 10 “Landmark Lightings” that interconnected across Las Vegas.
Even the ‘Fremont Street Experience’ screen in Downtown, renowned as one of the largest digital screens globally, participated in this grand campaign. Its overwhelming 420-meter-long ceiling LED canopy, resembling a vast sky brought indoors, was fully adorned with the welcoming message: “LAS VEGAS WELCOMES BTS.” The city’s night sky was transformed into a colossal, luminous greeting screen exclusively for the global K-pop superstars.
Unlike the 2022 event, where “THE CITY” takeover lasted for only one day before the concert, this year’s activation extended throughout the entire four-day concert period. Each night, from 11 PM for a full hour, key city landmarks presented a powerful illumination spectacle, uniformly transforming into a vibrant red light – the signature color of BTS’s new album, ‘ARIRANG’.
