BTS’s Jungkook has once again asserted his immense global popularity, topping the list as the most searched male group idol on YouTube Korea in 2026.
This impressive feat, confirming Jungkook’s widespread influence, was reported by the official accounts of ‘About Music’ and ‘Pop Planet,’ renowned for covering global music charts and industry updates.
Jungkook’s consistent appeal is evident from his past achievements; he previously ranked #1 as the most searched male group idol member on YouTube Korea in 2024, even while fulfilling his military service. In 2025, he continued to demonstrate strong search interest, ranking #2 among all male idols on YouTube Korea.
His dominance extends beyond South Korea. Jungkook secured the #1 spot as the most searched K-pop male idol group member on YouTube US for two consecutive years in both 2024 and 2025. Furthermore, he has been the most searched male idol group member on YouTube Japan for an entire decade. Globally, Jungkook holds an unparalleled record as the most searched K-pop idol on YouTube for five consecutive years.

Beyond search rankings, Jungkook’s impact on YouTube is also significant in terms of mentions. Last year, he emerged as the third most mentioned individual worldwide on YouTube, with 4.6 million mentions, trailing only global sports icons Cristiano Ronaldo (7.7 million) and Lionel Messi (6.9 million). Remarkably, even during his military service, he claimed the #1 spot for YouTube mentions among all solo artists globally.
His expansive reach extends to other major platforms as well. Jungkook has been the most searched K-pop idol on Google, the world’s largest search engine, for an impressive five consecutive years. He also maintained the #1 position as a K-pop star on Tumblr for five consecutive years, further cementing his digital footprint.
On the global short-video platform TikTok, his personal hashtag ‘#jungkook’ made history by becoming the first solo artist hashtag to achieve 300 billion views worldwide. Furthermore, Jungkook became the first and only individual in TikTok’s history to surpass 40 million posts associated with his name, showcasing an unparalleled level of engagement.
Adding to his widespread digital presence, Jungkook also ranked #1 as the most searched K-pop idol on Pinterest, a global social media platform boasting over 500 million users, in 2024.
His recent activities continue to garner massive attention. Jungkook’s ‘Hooligan’ challenge video, posted on his personal Instagram account, swiftly surpassed 100 million views within just four days of its release. This particular post also set a new record, becoming the third most shared post in Instagram’s history, exceeding 2.3 million shares.
