BTS’s Jungkook once again commands global attention on the prestigious World Cup stage.
BTS is set to co-headline the highly anticipated 2026 FIFA North America World Cup Final Halftime Show, scheduled for July 19 at the New York/New Jersey Stadium in the USA.
The World Music Awards (WMA), often dubbed Europe’s Billboard, highlighted this monumental news via their official account, stating, “Jungkook was the first Asian artist to headline the FIFA World Cup in 2022, and on July 19th, he will once again co-headline the halftime show alongside BTS.” They further noted that Jungkook is poised to become the first male artist and first Asian artist to perform at multiple FIFA World Cup events.

Jungkook previously captivated audiences at the 2022 FIFA Qatar World Cup opening ceremony, where he performed the official soundtrack ‘Dreamers.’ This upcoming performance at the 2026 FIFA North America World Cup Final marks his second time on the prestigious World Cup stage. With this, Jungkook will join Colombian pop star Shakira as one of the few artists to perform at two or more FIFA World Cup events.
During the 2022 FIFA Qatar World Cup opening ceremony, Jungkook delivered a groundbreaking live performance of ‘Dreamers.’ The official music video for ‘Dreamers,’ uploaded to FIFA’s official YouTube channel, has since surpassed an astounding 440 million views. This video is not only the first on the channel to exceed 400 million views but also holds the record as the most-watched video in the channel’s history. On Spotify, ‘Dreamers’ boasts over 529 million cumulative streams. Furthermore, it achieved unprecedented records for an official World Cup soundtrack on both iTunes and the US Billboard charts.
