BTS Jungkook Billboard Global Chart Record Asia First

BTS’s Jungkook’s “Seven” continues its long-running success on global music charts.

Jungkook’s first solo debut song, “Seven,” ranked 160th on the Billboard “Global 200” chart as of March 7th. Jungkook’s “Seven” set a record as the first and longest-charting song by an Asian group and solo artist, entering the chart for 134 weeks.

“Seven” also ranked 75th on the Billboard “Global Excl. U.S.” chart on the same date. It continued to set a new record as the first and longest-charting song by an Asian solo artist on this chart for 137 weeks. In addition, it proved its global music power by rising 32 and 28 places, respectively, compared to the previous week.

Jungkook’s solo song “Please Don’t Change” re-entered the Billboard Dance Digital Song Sales Chart at number 3. On the Billboard Korea Hot 100 chart dated March 7th, “Seven” ranked 74th, and on the “Global K-Songs” chart, “Seven” ranked 10th, “Standing Next To You” 45th, and “3D” 73rd. On the Billboard Vietnam Hot 100 chart, “Seven” maintained its top position at number 2.

Jungkook previously topped both the “Global 200” and “Global Excl. U.S.” charts with all three songs, “Seven,” “Standing Next to You,” and “3D.” “Seven” debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, the main singles chart, and remained on the chart for 15 weeks.

“Seven” also continued its new record as the first and longest-charting song by an Asian solo artist for 137 consecutive weeks on Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Global chart, the world’s largest music streaming platform. On Spotify, “Seven” was the first song by an Asian artist and the first song released in 2023 to surpass 2.8 billion streams.
