BTS’s Jimin has been captivating audiences with a fresh and trending hairstyle at every stop of his ongoing world tour, sparking immense fan reactions.
On May 23 (local time), on the opening night of the ‘BTS World Tour in Las Vegas’ concert at Allegiant Stadium, Jimin debuted a striking look featuring his long blonde hair braided at the top. This instantly became a sensation, with ‘JIMIN BRAIDS’ rapidly trending across social media platforms.

The distinctive style even sparked a popular TikTok challenge, with fans worldwide eagerly recreating the look. Its influence reached television when Lourdes Stephen, an anchor for Telemundo’s prominent news program ‘Al Rojo Vivo,’ paid homage to Jimin’s braided hairstyle, featuring his solo track ‘Who’ as background music.
Jimin originally showcased his long blonde hair during a comeback live stage at Gwanghwamun Square in March, which quickly earned him affectionate nicknames such as ‘Lion Jimin’ and ‘Bukcheong Lion.’ He has continued to embrace and evolve this long blonde aesthetic ever since.
In an interview, a Big Hit Music vice president revealed that the decision to maintain his long hair was entirely Jimin’s personal choice. Jimin himself shared during a live broadcast that when he initially decided on the long hair, he faced opposition from everyone, including his agency, with only his mother offering her support.
Having successfully concluded the North American leg of the tour with the Las Vegas concerts, Jimin has now returned to Korea. He is currently gearing up for his highly anticipated concerts in Busan on June 12 and 13.
