BTS officially released the special package digital track and official music video for ‘Normal,’ a B-side from their 5th full-length album ‘Arirang,’ on July 17 at 1 PM KST. The music video premiered exclusively on Spotify on the same day and is slated for release on YouTube on July 19.
‘Normal’ serves as a follow-up track to the title song ‘SWIM,’ delving into the raw, honest emotions and human side of an artist behind the glamorous stage. In the music video, Jimin captivates viewers with scenes that fluctuate between a dreamy ambiance and his unique charm, notably expressing solitary feelings while lying on a bed bathed in a single beam of light amidst darkness.
Following its release, Jimin emerged as the sole member to trend globally in real-time on X (formerly Twitter). He also achieved the highest ranking among all members in real-time trends across major countries including the United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, and India, demonstrating his global influence.
The track’s musical achievements continued with Jimin’s version, ‘NORMAL (Korean Ver./ Instant Photo Alternate Cover Jimin Version),’ from the recently released special package digital tracks. This version soared to #1 on iTunes Top Songs charts in 7 countries, including France and Japan, further solidifying his solo power.
Meanwhile, BTS is scheduled to perform as the main act for the halftime show at the ‘2026 FIFA North America World Cup’ final, set to take place in New Jersey, USA, on July 19 (local time).
