“We promised our fans that we’d be back.”
BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook) has officially announced their comeback with the release of a trailer video and poster for ‘BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG’ on their official SNS at 9 AM today.
The trailer begins with the resounding cheers and shouts from ARMY (BTS’s fandom) at a past concert, evoking strong emotions. The members express their affection for their fans, saying “I really miss you.”
RM’s narration, “We promised our fans that we’d be back,” transitions to a scene at Gyeongbokgung Palace. The members exude a powerful presence against the backdrop of the palace at both day and night. The phrases “THE WORLD’S BIGGEST BAND IS BACK” and “WITNESS THE HOMECOMING” further heighten anticipation for the comeback.

The members expressed their strong will and anticipation for their new journey, stating, “I felt that things were changing one by one” and “I think that the seven of us can continue to walk this path together and continue to swim forward.” The poster, released with the video, features the silhouettes of the seven members in front of Gwanghwamun, drawing attention.
BTS will release their 5th full-length album ‘ARIRANG’ on the 20th and hold a comeback live event in the Gwanghwamun Square area of Seoul at 8 PM on the 21st, the following day. Hamish Hamilton, who directed the opening ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics and the US Super Bowl halftime show, will be directing, promising a stage befitting a global event. For those unable to attend in person, it will be broadcast live worldwide via Netflix.
Meanwhile, the title track ‘SWIM’ from BTS’s new album ‘ARIRANG’ sings about the attitude of not stopping and swimming through the waves of life. It expresses the will to calmly overcome the oncoming flow at one’s own pace, interpreted as ‘love for life’. RM took on the overall writing of the lyrics, adding sincerity to the song’s message.
