The global phenomenon BTS is expanding its highly anticipated ‘BTS THE CITY ARIRANG,’ hereinafter referred to as ‘THE CITY ARIRANG,’ bringing this immersive experience to more cities worldwide.
On April 20th, BTS confirmed via the global superfan platform Weverse that ‘THE CITY ARIRANG’ festival will continue its journey, expanding to Las Vegas, USA in May and Busan, South Korea in June.
‘THE CITY ARIRANG’ is an ambitious, large-scale urban project designed to immerse entire cities in the narrative of BTS. This innovative event transforms metropolitan areas into vast cultural hubs through captivating installation art that seamlessly merges music and media. Launched in Seoul on March 20th alongside the release of their 5th studio album, ‘ARIRANG,’ ‘THE CITY ARIRANG’ is now making a successful global debut by expanding to new locations. Each city will feature uniquely tailored programs, ensuring optimal synergy with the local culture while offering fans an unparalleled and continuously evolving experience.
The ‘THE CITY ARIRANG’ experience in Las Vegas is scheduled from May 20th to May 31st (local time). This vibrant, city-wide festival will transform Las Vegas around the highly anticipated ‘BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN LAS VEGAS’ concerts, set to electrify Allegiant Stadium on May 23rd-24th and May 27th-28th.
This particular project promises an even more immersive experience, bolstered by strategic partnerships with leading local brands. From May 20th, fans can enjoy ‘IP Hotel’ themed rooms, while official after-parties at renowned clubs will keep the concert’s energy alive. Exclusive food and beverage collaborations, featuring world-class restaurant brands, will also be available.
Visitors can also anticipate breathtaking visual displays utilizing iconic city landmarks. Las Vegas’s famous ‘Strip’ — a premier tourist and commercial district — will transform into a dazzling festival ground for the duration of the project. Key attractions will be illuminated in the signature red color of BTS’s new album, while massive digital billboards will broadcast welcome messages to attendees. Furthermore, various prominent venues across the city will be reimagined as ‘THE CITY ARIRANG’ stages.
The excitement then shifts to Busan, South Korea, from June 5th to 21st. A diverse range of programs will run concurrently with the BTS World Tour concerts, taking place at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium on June 12th and 13th. This leg of ‘THE CITY ARIRANG’ aims to offer a unique cultural experience, allowing fans to enjoy the entire city as if it were a sprawling theme park.
