K-Pop legends BIGBANG, featuring members G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung, have excitingly announced their highly anticipated 20th-anniversary world tour.
The global sensation performed at the Outdoor Theater stage of the ‘Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival’ (referred to as ‘Coachella’) in Indio, California, USA, on April 19th (local time).
Towards the end of their electrifying set, G-Dragon addressed the enthusiastic crowd, stating, “This year marks BIGBANG’s 20th anniversary. This is just the beginning. We are thrilled to make a very special announcement for the first time right here at Coachella.”
He then unveiled the monumental news: “We have finished preparing a new album. And BIGBANG’s 20th-anniversary world tour will kick off this August! Please anticipate it!” The announcement was met with roaring cheers and overwhelming excitement from fans.
Following G-Dragon’s revelation, Taeyang took a moment to express heartfelt gratitude to their dedicated fanbase. “Thank you for loving us, waiting for us, and supporting us for such a long time,” he shared. “We believe the only way we can truly repay you is through great music and unforgettable performances. We love you all.”
Daesung echoed the sentiments, adding, “Thank you for cherishing us and allowing us to sing for 20 years, despite our imperfections. We promise to continue being a BIGBANG that brings happiness to everyone.”
During their captivating Coachella performance, BIGBANG delivered a powerhouse set, including iconic hits like ‘BANG BANG BANG,’ ‘FANTASTIC BABY,’ ‘Sober,’ ‘A Fool’s Only Tears,’ and ‘LOSER.’ They concluded their unforgettable stage with the poignant ‘Still Life’ (봄여름가을겨울). Notably, after the final song, the three members shared a warm embrace, celebrating their joyous return to the stage.
