Global superstars BTS are receiving overwhelming praise from international media for their groundbreaking ‘ARIRANG’ World Tour. The highly anticipated ‘BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG” kicked off its sensational run on the 9th, 11th, and 12th at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium. All three shows sold out instantly upon ticket release, captivating over 132,000 fans over three days with unforgettable moments. The tour was lauded for its innovative use of a 360-degree stage and the incorporation of traditional Korean symbols like Gyeonghoeru and Geongon Gamri into the set design, maximizing the aesthetic beauty of Korean art.

This remarkable series of concerts has garnered widespread acclaim from leading international media outlets.
British music publication NME awarded the tour a near-perfect score, declaring that BTS has opened a new chapter with this performance. NME highlighted, “Just as their new album ‘ARIRANG’ expanded genre boundaries, the stage production also presented a new direction, moving away from what is typically expected in K-pop performances.” The review praised how “the majority of the setlist featured tracks from their latest album, while older songs were strategically interwoven, effectively connecting the present with the past.”
NME further lauded, “‘ARIRANG’ is rooted in the group’s Korean heritage, and the concert itself was infused with the team’s identity throughout its stage direction and choreography.”

NME concluded by stating, “The essence of the performance lies in ‘connection.’ This signifies BTS’s deep bond with their own identity while also profoundly resonating with the audience. The final song, ‘Into the Sun,’ adorned with fireworks, felt beautifully optimistic. Though the concert ended, it left an undeniable feeling that BTS’s moment is far from over.”
The BBC in the UK commented that the concert was “more than just a chance to see global megastars; it was an opportunity to truly experience the powerful presence of a universally beloved group.” The outlet identified the members’ strong camaraderie and natural chemistry as a core appeal of the show, analyzing this bond as the driving force keeping the team at the pinnacle of success. The BBC also predicted that this tour “will be recorded as the largest-scale tour ever by a Korean group.”

U.S. publication Billboard highlighted BTS’s inherent strengths, emphasizing their momentum, the expansive feel of their music, and their seamless interaction with the massive audience. Billboard recalled, “During the performance of ‘Body to Body,’ the traditional folk song ‘Arirang’ was woven in, and the audience singing along became one of the most memorable moments of the night—a truly special scene unique to this concert.”
Analyzing the ‘IDOL’ performance, they noted it “re-centered BTS’s core narrative, demonstrating how Korean identity and global pop scale can coexist within a single framework.”
Indian fashion magazine GQ India stated that BTS “captivated countless spectators with their irreplaceable stage presence, once again proving that they are most powerful when all seven members are together.”
Meanwhile, following their upcoming performances at the Tokyo Dome on the 17th and 18th, BTS is set to continue their extensive global journey, embarking on a World Tour spanning 85 shows across 34 cities in North America, Europe, and South America.
