“Peak of My 30-Year Career”: Diplo Lavishes Praise on BTS ‘ARIRANG’ Collaboration
Grammy-winning global producer Diplo is generating buzz among fans worldwide after calling his collaboration on BTS’s new album, ‘ARIRANG,’ “the biggest project of my career.”
Diplo, known for his work with Justin Bieber, Madonna, Beyoncé, Dua Lipa, and as a member of EDM group Major Lazer, is a hitmaker who transcends pop, hip-hop, and EDM.
In an interview with TMZ on February 8th (local time), Diplo stated, “BTS’s comeback album ARIRANG is the craziest album I’ve ever worked on, and honestly, it’s going to shock the world.” He added, “It will be the biggest moment of my 30-year music career.”
He praised the creativity, humor, rapping, and performance of all seven BTS members (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook), who are returning as a complete group after approximately four years due to military service.
In particular, his comments about Jungkook’s vocals have quickly spread among international fans.
During the interview, Diplo said, “Jungkook doesn’t need autotune. Perfect voice.” This statement, along with video clips, has been repeatedly quoted and discussed on X (formerly Twitter).
Reactions on X include: “Jungkook, no autotune, perfect voice,” “Jungkook’s vocals directly mentioned by a Grammy producer,” and “If Diplo says it’s the peak of his career, this album is different.”
Meanwhile, ‘ARIRANG’ consists of a total of 14 tracks and reportedly features global producers such as Diplo, Max Martin, and Jon Bellion. Prior to the album’s release, a Netflix live show, downtown Seoul event, and world tour schedule are also expected to be announced.
