HYBE-Geffen Records’ global girl group KATSEYE has achieved a remarkable milestone, charting for an impressive 53 weeks on Billboard.

Released in June 2025, KATSEYE’s second EP, ‘BEAUTIFUL CHAOS’, successfully charted on the Billboard 200 for its 52nd consecutive week (as of July 4th). This accomplishment marks the first time in 21 years that a female group album has remained on the chart for a full year. On the most recent chart (as of July 11th), the album climbed to No. 128, extending its cumulative chart run to an astounding 53 weeks.

Prior to this, the last girl group album to chart on the Billboard 200 for a year was The Pussycat Dolls’ debut album ‘PCD’, released in 2005. The Pussycat Dolls were a defining girl group in the U.S. pop market during the mid-2000s, launching global hits like ‘Don’t Cha’ and ‘Buttons’ through ‘PCD’ and solidifying their status as an international pop sensation. KATSEYE’s latest record-breaking achievement follows in their footsteps, once again showcasing the potential for sustained success for girl groups in the U.S. market, a presence that has been notably absent for a significant period.

The Billboard 200 serves as a crucial indicator of an album’s long-term commercial success. In the rapidly evolving and often short-lived global pop landscape, an album maintaining its presence on the charts for over a year signifies more than just initial buzz; it reflects a stable and ongoing connection with its music, dedicated fandom, and consistent public interest.

KATSEYE has also demonstrated its significant hit-making power with individual tracks, charting multiple songs on the Billboard Hot 100. ‘Gabriela’ peaked at an impressive No. 21 on the Hot 100 chart (as of January 17th), followed by ‘PINKY UP’ at No. 28 (as of April 25th), ‘Internet Girl’ at No. 29 (as of January 17th), and ‘Gnarly’ at No. 82 (as of January 10th).

Last June, in a surprise collaboration as part of the HYBE Labels’ girl group alliance, KATSEYE joined LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT to release the single ‘ICONIC BY MISTAKE’. The track successfully debuted at No. 38 on the Hot 100 chart (as of June 27th), achieving the highest position for a K-pop girl group song to enter the chart this year.

Earlier this year, KATSEYE received nominations for ‘Best New Artist’ and ‘Best Pop Duo/Group Performance’ at the 68th Grammy Awards. In May, they further cemented their global recognition by winning a total of three awards at the American Music Awards, including the coveted ‘New Artist of the Year’.

Building on the unique diversity of its individual members, KATSEYE has garnered widespread acclaim for its powerful stage performances and exceptional vocal and dance capabilities, steadily making a significant impact on global festival stages. The group has successively appeared at prestigious events such as Lollapalooza Chicago & South America, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, and Governors Ball. Their highly anticipated inaugural North American and European tour, ‘THE WILDWORLD TOUR’, scheduled to begin in September, sold out all dates within just 48 hours of ticket sales, unequivocally proving their immense and rapidly growing popularity. This extensive tour is set to connect with fans across 31 shows in 27 cities spanning 10 countries.
