YG Entertainment has unveiled a powerful 2026 roadmap, including the highly anticipated comeback of BIGBANG, one of its flagship IPs, alongside successive comebacks from TREASURE and BABYMONSTER.
On March 4th, YG Entertainment posted a “2026 YG PLAN | YG ANNOUNCEMENT” on its official blog. After approximately six months since August of last year, Executive Producer Yang Hyun Suk personally delivered news about YG’s major plans scheduled for this year in an interview.
BIGBANG’s comeback, marking their 20th debut anniversary this year, has already garnered significant attention from global music fans. Executive Producer Yang Hyun Suk stated, “We have agreed with the BIGBANG members to hold concerts.”
This comeback not only commemorates BIGBANG’s 20-year musical journey but also signifies the reunion of YG and BIGBANG, who have shaped the K-pop market together, solidifying the ‘YG Familyship.’ Yang Hyun Suk expressed, “Since we have worked together for a long time, I don’t think there will be any difficulties. All YG staff will do their best to create a perfect and amazing performance.”

BABYMONSTER and TREASURE are also set to have active schedules. BABYMONSTER is planning a mini-album in May and a second full-length album in the fall. Yang Hyun Suk introduced the mini-album’s title track, “‘CHOOM’ (춤, meaning dance). The font used for 춤 in Korean is very stylish. It resembles a person spreading their arms and dancing, with an oriental feel.” They are also scheduled to hold a larger-scale second world tour, starting in June and extending to South America, Europe, and Oceania.
TREASURE will begin the second act of their activities with the release of a mini-album in June. Yang Hyun Suk shared, “The members suddenly came to me and said they wanted to do hip-hop, which surprised me. As they wished, you will be surprised to see that TREASURE can do this kind of music in this album. You can look forward to YG-style music that is cool and that they have never shown before.”
Finally, Executive Producer Yang Hyun Suk stated, “This year marks YG’s 30th anniversary. Rather than conveying a special feeling, I want to say that I will work hard in this position to create music without losing my initial intentions until the 40th and 50th anniversaries. Since last year, I have done my best for the active activities of BABYMONSTER and TREASURE. I will refine those results to make them even brighter and bring you good news throughout the year.”
Meanwhile, the outlines of YG’s new groups that were announced last year have become clearer. Through subtitles, it was explained that “A new boy group is being prepared with the goal of autumn,” and “Following Ebal and Chanya, the remaining two members of the 4-member girl group Next Monster (tentative name) will be revealed soon.”
